The Angela Dorsey Bedford Scholarship is an award in the amount of $1,000 for graduate students pursuing a MBA and JD degree. Eligible applicants must have been accepted to or have begun (1) a MBA/JD dual-degree program, (2) a MBA program after completion of a JD program, or (3) a JD program after completion of a MBA program. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to service to their community, despite personal hardships or societal barriers.

Angela Dorsey Bedford was a Certified Public Account and a licensed attorney in the state of Texas. Due to a battle with multiple strokes and heart attacks, she was unfortunately unable to continue her career in that field. But, despite her health struggles, she remains active in her community and dedicates her time and energy to bettering the lives of those around her. Further still, despite her illnesses, she fought the constraints of student loans up until her disbursement due to her medical conditions.
